Remaining Audition Dates For Diddy’s ‘Making The Band’ in Charlotte and New York Postponed Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has been listed as a worldwide pandemic by the World Heath Organization today. Now, the world continues to see concerts, sporting events, and other festivities everywhere get canceled or postponed. Now, the same situation is hitting auditions for Diddy’s ‘Making The Band‘ reboot.

There’s already been auditions in Atlanta and Houston for MTB but the upcoming ones in Charlotte and New York will be postponed due to fear of the spread of the virus, according to TMZ. DaBaby was set to be a judge at the one in his hometown of Charlotte and Diddy was going to make the NYC appearance as well.

MTV has since released a statement regarding the postponement of the auditions.

“As a precautionary measure to ensure the health of our production crew, talent and aspiring artists, all public auditions for MTV’s “Making the Band” in Charlotte, NC on March 13-14 and New York City on March 21-22 have been canceled. Safety remains our utmost priority, and we’re continuing to defer to health officials and the CDC for guidance.”

Diddy has also released a statement regarding the postponement. He emphasized safety as the primary reason and reminded fans that they can still send in audition videos from home.

During the Atlanta audition, Quavo, Monica, and 112 were judges. Diddy’s sons, Quincy, Christian, and Justin along with Laurieann Gibson will be judges on the show when it’s time to air on TV. Diddy originally announced the MTV reboot for 2020 last summer.
