Raekwon speaks on working with Jay-Z on “Magna Carta Holy Grail” with Montreality [VIDEO]

Raekwon 8In recent years, the Wu-Tang Clan has kept active through Raekwon, who has remained a consistent figure since 2009. Previously, Raekwon had been on a six-year hiatus, only returning in 2007 to do the Wu-Tang Clan album. A lot has changed and Raekwon has blended in well with the changes.

Few people, still, would have ever expected Raekwon and Jay-Z to team up in any meaning of the word. Among the most-vocal critics of Jay-Z’s leadership at Def Jam was Raekwon. A lot of his digs toward Jay-Z were more personal than business, but soon enough, Jay-Z left Def Jam.

Now, Jay-Z has enlisted a strong team for his Magna Carta Holy Grail. Already platinum off the album, courtesy of the #NewRules, Jay-Z has Raekwon among the guests working on the album. Raekwon returned to his home away from home, Canada, to speak with Montreality about this experience.
