It’s been a very wild 2019 for R. Kelly. His crimes involving sexual relations with underage women was exposed in Lifetime’s ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ docu-series. The feds soon soon investigated him but was placed in jail in March for failing to pay ex-wife, Drea Kelly, her monthly $20,833 in child support. This was after his infamous interview with CBS’ Gayle King. Kellywas then put back in jail this summer on these sex charges which include sex trafficking in Illinois, New York and Minnesota.

As far as Drea, she isn’t done looking for her child support payments. According to TMZ, a judge is ordering R. Kelly to give her payments from his music royalties in order to handle the child support. Court documents state that royalties from BMI and Sony will be taken.

R. Kelly has been asking the judge to be lenient with how much from the royalties he has to pay but it’s been non-negotiable. This situation is similar to that of a judge also ordering him this year to pay off rent for a Chicago studio that has drained a lot of his bank account. A trial still hasn’t been set for all of his charges but many expect him to be in prison for a very long time, as he should be.
