Finally, the follow up to “A Seat At The Table” is among us! Solange Knowles just announced the deets of her new album. No confirmation on the exact date but word on The NY Times T Magazine street tells us it’s finished and it’s coming this Fall ya’ll! Solange shares “there’s a lot of jazz at the core of the songs but with electronic and hip hop drum and bass because I want to bang and make your trunk rattle.” Yessss sis, please rattle us! The music industry needs you back in the game. She also added that the album “will be warm, fluid, and more sensual” than A Seat At The Table.
We expect Solange’s black girl magic to be equally exquisite as her soulful, drop down slay at Coachella with big sis Bey – which by the way my knees are still weak watching how baby girl got low and made that stage her bish. Sis is always full of surprises, you never know what you’re going to get but you know it’s going to be a mood. From Cranes in the Sky to catching hands in elevators, she’s a whole vibe. Hold tight child, Solange beating to her own drum for her second album soon come. Wait for it.
