Although mostly overlooked by the mainstream news, Haiti was impacted the worst by Hurricane Matthew. Since the storm passed through, Haiti has experienced over 1,000 deaths. A relief effort is taking into effect, but every bit helps.
A few celebrities have stepped up to the plate to help Haiti, which never fully recovered from their 2010 disaster. In the here and now, Jay Z and Beyonce donated $15 million to the Haiti relief. Now, their neighboring nation is also stepping in to help.
The Dominican Republic has begun sending in resources in order to help Haiti. They have sent 500 trucks into Haiti to assist in their relief efforts. Their trucks have food, generators, water, medicine, construction material, and much more.
