Post Malone announces “Twelve Carat Toothache” album

It’s been over two years now, since Post Malone put out his chart-topping “Hollywood’s Bleeding” album. Fans have since wondered when we would get the Texas native’s fourth studio album.

In a new cover story with Billboard, Malone revealed that his next album will be titled “Twelve Carat Toothache.” As of now, an official release date hasn’t been revealed. Malone did note that he’s not aiming to have so many songs on it, but not too little, either. He also emphasized that he isn’t aiming for number one albums anymore.

“Trying to shove 20 to 25 songs, it doesn’t work. Talking to the label [it’s like], ‘Oh, if you have less songs, you’re not going to stream as much,’ but the whole thing is that you don’t want to compromise your art and your gut vibe on anything. I’ve made a lot of compromises, especially musically, but now I don’t feel like I want to anymore. I don’t need a No. 1; that doesn’t matter to me no more, and at a point, it did.”

Malone is currently at two straight number one albums, and many anticipate that he’ll definitely reach a third, with Twelve Carat Toothache. His last three albums have also all gone at least 3x platinum.
