There has been speculation about when Pop Smoke’s sophomore album will be arriving and now, fans are in for some very good news. On Tuesday evening, one of Smoke’s managers, Rico Beats, took to Instagram to say that the upcoming album is 95% complete.
In the photo that Rico included, a photo was photoshopped of Rico as Scottie Pippen, Smoke as Michael Jordan, and Smoke’s other manager, Steven Victor, as Chicago Bulls’ Head Coach, Phil Jackson. Rico’s IG caption read “Pop Album 95% loading the f$&k up!!!!” Fans soon expressed their excitement about this announcement in the comments section, including fellow New York superstar, Busta Rhymes.
Smoke’s debut studio album, “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,” was released almost a year ago, in July. It saw massive success, as it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It hasn’t left the top 12 since then either, as it went on to be the longest album on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart. Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon is also platinum in the US, and contained hit singles such as “For The Night” feat. DaBaby and Lil Baby, “Something Special,” and “What You Know Bout Love.”
