Pop Smoke has been winning big posthumously with his 2020 debut studio album, “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon.” It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last summer as it was led by the “Make It Rain” single feat. Rowdy Rebel.
Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon also contained other hit singles such as “For The Night” feat. DaBaby and Lil Baby and one of Smoke’s 2019 breakout hit singles, “Dior.” Now, these two records have more platinum plaques coming.
According to Chart Data, Dior is now certified 3x platinum by the RIAA in the US. For The Night is 4x platinum. For the Night went on to peak at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Dior reached No. 22.
Smoke also hit the big screen a week ago as he starred in the basketball film, “Boogie.” This also featured Taylor Takahashi and Taylour Paige. It was directed by Eddie Huang. It told the story of a Chinese basketball player (Boogie, played by Takahashi) who was looking to make it to the NBA. Smoke played the role of his high school rival, Monk.
