Pop Smoke’s 2020 Debut Studio Album, “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,” is Reportedly The Highest-Selling Hip-Hop/R&B Album of 2021 So Far

Pop Smoke was on his way to being one of the biggest stars in hip-hop at the beginning of last year. That tragically ended as he was shot and killed in a Hollywood Hills home on February 19. 12 days before that, Smoke was making noise with his  new “Meet The Woo 2” mixtape.

Smoke’e estate went on to release his debut studio album, “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon,” in early July. That project saw immediate success as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Since then, it has consistently remained in the top 10.

Smoke’s album is still doing very good numbers as it is reportedly the highest-selling hip-hop/R&B album of 2021 so far. This is after accumulating 585,000 units at this point in the yaar. Lil Durk’s “The Voice” is second with 527,000 units and The Weeknd’s “After Hours” has 460,000.

Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon is also at platinum status in the US as it was led by some very strong singles. These include “What You Know Bout Love,” “For The Night” feat. DaBaby and Lil Baby, and “The Woo” feat. 50 Cent and Roddy Ricch.
