Protesting is still going on, as people are demanding justice for the likes of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, and Breonna Taylor. Despite this, the police are still killing black lives. In Lafayette, Louisiana, a black man lost his life.
Police shootings are nothing new, but each one has become a little more impacting. For black people, it is a scary scenario, because it could easily be them. This is the reason “Black Lives Matter” has become a rallying cry.
In Lafayette, Louisiana, a black man was walking down the street, holding a knife. The police soon approach the man, following in their car, some on the street. They begin tasering him, which has no effect, so then they open fire, repeatedly shooting him, and he dies, and then three officers stand over his body with guns still drawn, as eyewitnesses say that ten cops surrounded him.
