Wednesday was a very sad day in hip-hop, as Young Dolph was shot and killed, in his hometown of Memphis. He was reportedly buying cookies for his mother, at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies.
Dolph was repeatedly inside this store, when someone pulled up in a car, and opened fire through one of the store’s windows. Now, Memphis is definitely alert.
According to TMZ, police are guarding Yo Gotti’s Prive restaurant. Gotti was a rival of Dolph’s and many assume that he was involved in Dolph’s murder. This restaurant is said to be 10 miles from where Dolph was killed.
A publicist at Gotti’s CMG record label, who represents Blac Youngsta has since told Hip-HopVibe, that the Gotti involvement rumors are “false news,” and so is the rumor that Youngsta‘s grandmother’s home was shot up.
The reports about @BlacYoungstaFB grandmothers house being shot up are false. Please stop spreading fake news. He and his family are fine. #blacyoungsta #fakenews

Sources close to TMZ, added that it’s unclear if Gotti was actually threatened, or if this is just simply a precaution. It’s also unknown who actually pulled the trigger, on Dolph.
Wednesday was also supposed to be a heartwarming one, for Dolph and the city. His attorney, Scott Hall, said that the rapper was supposed to hand out turkeys for Thanksgiving, after he left Makeda’s.
