Ten years ago, Plies reached the peak of his career, and just dropped his second album in six months. Back then, Plies was THAT hot, dominating from the summer of 2007 until early 2009. Since that time, he’s only randomly posted two hits since then.
Plies was a part of the 2006-2007 wave of Miami hip hop that also produced Rick Ross and DJ Khaled. The three supported each other heavily and showed up on their music and in videos, often. But, Plies has seemingly fallen away from the pack.
In the social media years, Plies has found much more success as a social media personality. Often, in the drivers’ seat of one of his vehicles, Plies will just ramble about what’s on his mind. This morning, love was the topic, as he said he’s willing to give it a try, as fans question if Angela Yee is the woman in mind.
