On Christmas, Playboi Carti finally released his highly anticipated sophomore album, “Whole Lotta Red.” There were a lot of mixed reviews about this project but in the end, the hype generated huge first week numbers for Carti. It posted 100,000 units in its first week as well as 126.43 million streams. This was good enough to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Carti has been teasing the deluxe edition for Whole Lotta Red but now, it looks like fans may be getting a whole new album. Carti just took to his Instagram feed to reveal that he’s ready to put out an album.
“LeTs dr0p thiS new Album,” said Carti on IG. “w3 noT done .”
At this point, fans will have to keep guessing on if this will be the Whole Lotta Red deluxe or a whole new album. The original album had 24 tracks in total with appearances from Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future. Check out his announcement about a new album coming below.
