Phylicia Rashad talks TV motherhood, mentoring Chadwick Boseman, HBCUs, dynamic acting, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

The world may know Phylicia Rashad best for “The Cosby Show,” but she was around prior to that. She had her roles, in the acting world, where she made her name. After all, she was cast as Clair Huxtable for a reason.

Phylicia Rashad, decades later, is well-known as one of the leading TV moms. Her character name has even been romanticized by Drake, shouting Clair out on Nicki Minaj’s “Only.” Later, Drake had Phylicia in his “In My Feelings” music video, playing Lala Anthony’s mother.

Back at Power 105.1, “The Breakfast Club” spoke to Phylicia Rashad, this morning. Only DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God showed up, and Phylicia Rashad called in. During the interview, she discussed mentoring Chadwick Boseman, HBCUs, her dynamic acting, and more.
