Philadelphia Jeweler Sues Star Boxer, Gervonta Davis, After Claiming That Davis Paid For $250,000 Worth Of Jewelry With Fake Check

Gervonta Davis is one of the best young boxers in the sport as he still stands at an undefeated record at 23-0. His last fight was his toughest win yet as he beat Yuriorkis Gamboa in 12 rounds in Atlanta back in December. He ended up running into legal issues during Super Bowl week in Miami though as he dragged his baby mama and punched her in the face during a celebrity basketball game. She suffered injuries to her lip and jaw. He’s set to appear in court next week as he’s pleading not guilty to simple battery/domestic violence.

Now, more legal issues are arising for the champ as Shyne Jewelers Inc in Philadelphia is filing a lawsuit against him due to him allegedly paying for $250,000 worth of jewelry with a fake check, according to court documents obtained by Bossip. It all started in April of 2019 when he bought a $130,000 Richard Millie RMOl 1-FM watch which had a blue band. Then, Davis wanted more jewelry and that included a $130,000 Richard Millie R.I. 1011-FM watch with a green band, $60,000.00 for a customized Tank pendant, $30,000.00 for an iced out Rolex, $12,000.00 for four customized “GTD” logo pendants and $19,000 to help repair the previous blue Richard Millie watch he purchased.

Davis received the jewelry but without the pendants. From that point, a rep of his sent a cashier’s check from TD Bank but it ended up being counterfeit. Davis has since been ignoring the jewelers. They also claim that the boxer has been showing the jewelry off all over social media.

“Davis knew that the Cashier’s Check was counterfeit, and he acted intentionally and with malicious intent to deceive Shyne and deprive Shyne of its property and the services it provided to him,” said the jewelers said in court documents.

The documents also stated that Davis hasn’t responded to this lawsuit as of April 23. In addition to the 250k, Shyne Jewelers also wants their attorney fees handled by Davis.
