Power 105.1 and Hot 97 have been involved in a fierce competition for years. This past spring, their rivalry has reached a new peak. Funkmaster Flex, of Hot 97, reignited his feud with Power 105.1’s DJ Clue, over the leak of Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap.” The two engaged in a week long Twitter feud, which ended when Nicki Minaj asked Funkmaster Flex to end the tweets.

Ironically, Nicki Minaj found herself having a heated exchange with Funkmaster Flex, after she did not perform at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012. Before Nicki Minaj was slated to take the stage, Peter Rosenberg dissed her “Starships” single. Soon, Lil Wayne got on Twitter and revealed Young Money would not do Summer Jam. Peter Rosenberg immediately blamed this on Nicki Minaj and the jokes began.

Nicki Minaj aired out her issues with Power 105.1 at “The Breakfast Club.” Known for their own jokes, against major artists and Hot 97, they began to make jokes about their rivals. Now, Peter Rosenberg is firing back at the rival station.
