Ten years ago, Paul Wall was introduced to the mainstream world, alongside Mike Jones and Slim Thug. All of these artists were well-established in their native Houston, years prior, however. They all, along with Chamillionaire, had strong debut runs.
Obviously, Chamillionaire had the most commercial success, but all of them did well. Just like they were in early 2005, all of them are now independent artists. In Paul Wall’s case, this is actually a very good situation for him.
Paul Wall stopped by Hot 97, speaking to Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. During the interview, Paul Wall talked about making more money as an independent artist, as does Chamillionaire. They also talked to Paul Wall about the release of his new album.
