Dedrick D. Williams, is one of the four suspects who have been in jail since allegedly shooting and killing Florida rapper, XXXTentacion in June of 2018. He is now the latest inmate to bring up the current coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to get released as well.
According to TMZ, Williams wrote a letter to a judge asking him to grant him bond because his immune system is weak and he may get COVID-19. He’s asking for his life to be saved as he believes a deputy at the Broward County Jail infected an inmate. Williams also claimed that no testing is being done at the jail.
Williams went on to maintain his innocence as he claims he didn’t kill X. He wants to be granted bond until at least the virus slows down. Trying to use the claim of never missing court dates since he was 17 was also used. He’s 24 now. He shouldn’t be in and out of court this long.
“Since the age of 17 I’ve had you as a judge. I am now 24. Never have I missed court or failed a drug test since being in your courtroom.”
