With “The People vs. OJ Simpson” bringing stellar ratings to FX, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the old case was brought back up. It put the spotlight back on OJ Simpson, so something was bound to bring the case back up. This morning, exactly that happened.
A long time ago, now, OJ Simpson was brought up on murder charges, after his wife and her lover turned up dead. The highest-rated news story in TV history, at the time, OJ Simpson beat the charges. His trial, the breakout moment for the late Johnnie Cochran, changed TV forever.
This morning, a knife buried on the property that used to belong to OJ Simpson was found. Now, the LAPD is opening up an investigation on the knife and it can potentially bring the already-imprisoned OJ Simpson back into the case. All morning, Twitter has been going off, due to this revelation.
