Once upon a time, OJ Simpson was a sports icon. He was a true American hero, with schools and highways named in his honor. In 1994, this all came to a sudden end, when he was accused of murdering his ex-wife, and stood trial.
Though OJ Simpson was acquitted of all charges, he never escaped the accusations. The family of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, pursued Simpson in civil court. Years later, when Simpson stole back his own property, he was sent to prison.
In 2017, OJ Simpson was released from prison, and this made major headlines. For the most part, Simpson has kept a low profile. But, in a recent interview, with The Athletic, he said he avoids LA, because he believes the real killer is still out there.
Simpson claims he had a suspect and told his lawyers to look into it. Also, he said when he goes out, he is around a lot of people, and the killer could be among them, for all he knows.
