Not many rappers are fortunate enough to have their actual big brothers looking out for them and going through the same things as them. Pusha T has this fortune, as he and his older brother, No Malice (formerly known as Malice), have been releasing music for years. Two years ago, Pusha T began his career as a solo artist, signing with G.O.O.D. Music and soon found himself being dissed by Consequence.
Pusha T refused to be drawn into the issues with Consequence, but many felt his releases were thinly-veiled jabs at Drake. Over the past year, Drake has been targeted by many hip hop artists for various reasons. After Take Care‘s release, Drake was called “soft” by many, but he stepped up and defended himself. After Pusha T released the hard-hitting “Exodus 23:1,” Drake did not need to step up, Lil Wayne did.
Lil Wayne called Pusha T out on Twitter, saying “fuck Pusha T and anybody who loves him,” something supported by Young Chop, who had issues with G.O.O.D. Music for remixing Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like.” The Twitter post is not where things ended with Lil Wayne’s tirade against Pusha T. The Young Money leader is fresh off the release of his Pusha T diss record, “Goulish.” No Malice, who had previously been trying to keep the peace, has taken the gloves off. Things got personal on Twitter, so No Malice takes things back there.
No Malice defended Pusha T, tweeting “Well, I LOVE Pusha T! That’s my blood and I aint never kiss em.” Over five years ago, a photo surfaced of Lil Wayne and Birdman locking lips and the two have caught hardache for it over the years.
