Currently, Nike is catching a lot of backlash, following the release of Lil Nas X’s “Call Me By Your Name” music video. In the video, Nas X debuted his “Satan shoes.” This has sparked much backlash, for the obvious reasons.
Many people have had a lot to say about both the music video and the shoes. The NBA player, Nick Young, spoke out, saying he no longer supported Lil Nas X. He went as far as saying he was considering no longer supporting Nike.
Nike is now speaking out, as Lil Nas X’s “Satan shoe” is reportedly a Nike product. The iconic brand released a statement, denying any involvement with the “Satan shoe.” They said they did not design or release these shoes and they do not endorse them.
