When Jay-Z and Kanye West released Watch the Throne, the entire hip hop world stopped to take notice. For the most part, 2011 was a transitional year for hip hop, where several new trends were started. Before the start of 2011, Jay-Z and Kanye West promised they would release a new album. However, halfway through the year it seemed as though their album would remain a myth.

It soon became clear Watch the Throne would be released and the album, expectedly, had an impact on the hip hop world. The first single, “Otis,” inspired freestyles from rappers all over the world. At the time, it seemed as if “Otis” would be the most-freesyled song in history, but the follow-up single, “Niggas in Paris,” would take that role. “Niggas in Paris” broke several records and was arguably the biggest hip hop hit of 2011.

Months have passed since “Niggas in Paris” hit its peak, as the song is now slowly fading away. Jay-Z and Kanye West have decided to give “Niggas in Paris” new life, as they announced a music video for the single would be released this week. Now, the duo is preparing to premiere the music video to the world, dropping at 12:05 pm on MTV. The music video is said to have footage from their Los Angeles stop, while on tour. The “Niggas in Paris” video will be only the second music video released from the Watch the Throne album, following the summer release of “Otis.”
