Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, Submits Request To Judge To Be Able To Use Internet After Finally Registering as Sex Offender in California

A few weeks ago, Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was indicted by the feds after failing to register as a sex offender in California. He’s already one in his home state of New York as back in 1995, he was convicted of first-degree rape when he and a girl were both underage. He’s now set to stand trial on April 28.

As a sex offender, you’re not allowed to use the Internet but now, Petty wants to receive an exception for himself. According to TMZ, he submitted documents to a California judge asking him for permission to be able to go online. Prosecutors have already gave him the green light but now it’s all up to the judge.

Petty was originally suggested to be on house arrest but instead, he has a curfew, ankle monitor, and can’t be around any drugs or alcohol. We’ll see if or when this request for Internet gets approved leading up to the weeks of his trial. This might be tough for Petty to receive though as his criminal history isn’t the best. In 2002, he was conivcted of manslaughter after shooting and killing Lamont Robinson in Queens, NY.
