A fixture on MTV and VH1, Nicki Minaj became more of a television personality than anyone imagined during the late summer of 2012. First, Nicki Minaj announced she joined the lineup of the popular FOX series, “American Idol.” Joining the series as a judge, Nicki Minaj ended up working closely with Mariah Carey.
Many anticipated Nicki Minaj’s interactions with Mariah Carey. While it was expected to make headlines, few guessed there would be full-blown beef between the two ladies. Footage of Nicki Minaj cursing Mariah Carey out and threatening her was leaked to the internet. Both women have said the feud is over, yet they continue talking about it.
Last night, Nicki Minaj appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Speaking with Jay Leno, Nicki Minaj talked about being on “American Idol” and Mariah Carey. Outside of her television work, Nicki Minaj also discussed her education, as she took high school courses at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art, along with also speaking about first paying gigs and being an aggressive driver.
