Nicki Minaj Says She’ll “Explain Another Day,” of Why She Pulled Out, of Upcoming VMAs Performance

Nicki Minaj has been trending heavily this year, due to her return to social media in May, along with rereleasing her classic 2009 mixtape, “Beam Me Up Scotty.” This included new tracks such as “Fractions” and “Seeing Green” ft. Drake and Lil Wayne. She also had social media buzzing, after rocking a pair of pink Crocs, in her return to Instagram.

Nicki also interacts with her fans frequently, on Twitter, as she answers questions from many of them. On Friday, she revealed that she has pulled out of her upcoming 2021 VMAs performance.

Simply put, Nicki told the user that she’ll “explain another day.” She did note though that she still has love for MTV, and Bruce Gilmer, the VMAs’ producer.

“I just pulled out. I’ll explain why another day,” said Nicki “But I love those guys at MTV. Thank you Bruce. I love you so much. Next year we there baby.”

This also comes as Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, pleaded guilty to not registering as a sex offender, in the state of California. He faces 10 years in prison, and will be sentenced in early 2022.
