Back in 1989, Sir Mix-A-Lot gained fame because of his “Baby Got Back” single. The song has been given new life, courtesy of Young Money, in recent years. Drake referenced the song on “The Motto” in 2011 and Nicki Minaj used the song as the basis of her “Anaconda” single.
Nicki Minaj has been the most-discussed woman in hip hop from the moment she gained fame. Her body is so curvy that it’s unbelievable and it brought up the discussion of physical enhancements. But, when Nicki Minaj puts her body in motion, all eyes are on her, like it was in the “Anaconda” music video.
Sir Mix-A-Lot is the originator of the song and veteran emcees, in the past, have expressed disdain for newer rappers remaking their music. This was not the case when it came to Sir Mix-A-Lot and Nicki Minaj. As an OG bootyologist, Sir Mix-A-Lot could not be mad, he gave Nicki Minaj a co-sign instead.
