In four short years, Nicki Minaj has become much more than the average female rapper. Hot on the New York streets, Lil Wayne added Nicki Minaj to Young Money. Joining only months after Drake, Young Money instantly was a winner. Nicki Minaj quickly rose to the top of the game, but she did not stop there.

Nicki Minaj immediately turned herself into a brand, putting Pink Friday on almost everything she was involved in. Expanding well outside of the hip hop market, Nicki Minaj ended up being cast on “American Idol” as a judge. This experience has had both ups and downs, as it seems she and Mariah Carey cannot get along.

The frequent rifts between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have not stopped the Barbz from continuing her reign. Recently, Nicki Minaj added comic book character to her continuously growing list of job titles. Nicki Minaj has partnered with Bluewater Comics for a special edition of their “Fame” series.
