Early in 2017, Nicki Minaj announced she was single, and she hasn’t publicly dated since. Earlier this year, however, Nicki Minaj announced a new man in her life. This new man was actually an old flame, a guy she dated when she was a teenager.
Kenneth Petty is the man’s name and he came with his own fair share of drama. A father of five children, one of his children’s mothers became very vocal. She claimed she and Kenneth were still together and he was using Nicki for her money.
Along with those rumors, there were also rumors of Kenneth Petty being a rapist. With the charges surrounding her brother, Nicki Minaj faced a lot of backlash from detractors. In an unexpected move, she actually responded to the claims about Petty, explaining that he was 15 and the girl was 16, in her IG comments.
