When Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter, many were shocked. In recent months, Nicki Minaj has faced more criticism than usual, much like her Young Money label-mate, Drake. Much like with Drake, more than likely the criticism will blow over. Tired of all the comments, Nicki Minaj revealed she was doing away with her Twitter and she made good on the promise.
Due to her extensive Twitter following, there were many who hoped Nicki Minaj would eventually reconsider. During her rant, in which she announced she was deleting her Twitter, Nicki Minaj said she did have plans of returning to Twitter. At the time, though, Nicki Minaj felt overwhelmed with everything going on.
Nicki Minaj is currently in the United Kingdom and during a stop in London, she explained why she shut her Twitter down. During an interview with “The Graham Norton Show,” Nicki Minaj said there was a voice in her head that led to her removing her account. Previously, Nicki Minaj said she planned to return to Twitter, but during her interview she said she was not sure and hoped her fans understood.
