A clip from Remy Ma’s upcoming “Drink Champs” episode is going viral on Instagram. Remy Ma talks about her beef with Nicki Minaj. Since 2017, Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj have stayed away from mentioning each other. Actually, Remy Ma said she has no issues with Nicki Minaj, in a recent interview.
Nicki Minaj went on an unprecedented run, as a female rapper. When Nicki Minaj debuted, there were virtually no other female rappers releasing music. So, when Nicki Minaj rose to the top of the game, she broke records. By the mid-2010s, Nicki Minaj was joined by other female rappers. Each time a female rapper made noise, Nicki Minaj’s name was mentioned.
Remy Ma had tremendous success with “All The Way Up.” As a result, Remy Ma became one of the hottest rappers in the game. The success Remy Ma was enjoying was the most of any female rapper not named Nicki Minaj. Immediately, Remy Ma was pit against Nicki Minaj. Soon, Remy Ma took the bait, dropping a diss track, “SHEther.” Nicki Minaj would respond on 2 Chainz’ album. From there, Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma’s beef died.
On “Drink Champs,” Remy Ma spoke on the Nicki Minaj beef. Remy Ma claims she and Nicki Minaj agreed to not diss each other. As to why Remy Ma dissed Nicki Minaj, she said she felt Nicki Minaj broke that promise. Nicki Minaj saw that clip and she denied ever speaking to Remy Ma to agree on anything.
