Like she promised to, Nicki Minaj has returned with tons of new music for the year of 2014. Currently, Nicki Minaj is in the midst of a strong radio run with her “Pills N Potions” single. This new track is the lead single off The Pink Print, which is due next week.
Nicki Minaj had plenty of street singles before “Pills N Potions,” most notably the popular track, “Yass Bitch,” with Soulja Boy. Starting the month of July out, Nicki Minaj performed this at Philadelphia’s 4th of July Jam. Eleven days later, it looks like this song has put her in an unfortunate position.
The mayor of Philadelphia, Micheal Nutter, was not pleased with Nicki Minaj’s performance of “Yass Bitch,” as she chose the explicit route. Each year, artists are encouraged to perform clean versions of their music for the family event. Because she did not, Mr. Nutter is considering banning Nicki Minaj from Philadelphia.
