Followers of hip hop know Hot 97 and Power 105.1 are prone to begin feuding with each other at any time. Until last spring, things had remained relatively peaceful between the two stations, but Nicki Minaj changed this. Funkmaster Flex claimed to have stolen the exclusive premiere of “Beez in the Trap,” featuring 2 Chainz, from DJ Clue.
Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue went back and forth in the media for a month. Nicki Minaj eventually did interviews with Hot 97 and Power 105.1 in an attempt to smooth things over. However, Nicki Minaj ended up soon feuding with Hot 97, herself, and getting rival station, Power 105.1 involved.
Nicki Minaj ended up feuding with Peter Rosenberg after he dissed “Starships” at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012. This led to Young Money pulling out of the concert and Nicki Minaj feuding with the whole Hot 97. Early this morning, Nicki Minaj talked to Hot 97’s summer show about the past feud, her success, her mixtape roots, and her movie with Cameron Diaz.
