The local scene here in North Carolina has a lot going on that goes well outside of music. Still, hip hop remains at the root of what’s going on, like with Nelson Davis, the popular actor/producer from Jacksonville. His self-produced films have hip hop themes to them and the films he’s starred in feature hip hop artists.

Nelson Davis (@nelsonjdavis Twitter/Instagram) appeared in the Frat Brothers film alongside Romeo Miller and Mishon and recently aired on BET this summer. This is only the beginning for Nelson Davis, as he also starred in a version of Meek Mill’s “Tony Story” video. The future is bright for him, appearing on GSN’s “It Takes A Church” and more.

The next role for Nelson Davis is in the 24 Hours film, which is produced by Alzye Elyse, also responsible for Behind Closed Doors and Innocent. Fans can expect to see Nelson Davis playing the role of Detective Jackson in the film. Before the nationwide premiere of the movie, it will premiere in Greensboro, NC.
