At the turn of the millennium, several rappers emerged as stars. Meanwhile, there were others who rose to game. Initially, none of them were as big as Nelly, although he saw an abrupt end to his run and he has since placed his focus on his business ventures.
Nelly recently made a return to the headlines, but it was not because of anything positive. Instead, Nelly made headlines for his relationship with Ms. Jackson, the ex-girlfriend of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. But, Nelly is giving himself headlines once a week of a positive nature.
This morning, news broke from The Hollywood Reporter that Nelly is going to be the star of an eight-part docuseries with BET. The as-of-yet-untitled television series is more of what fans have requested to see. Viewers will see Nelly juggle his music, business, and personal life.
