During the 2007-2008 period, Nelly made a brief comeback in the rap game. After making his comeback, Nelly returned to the background. Several other major stars were born, but Nelly staged another comeback in 2011. Mixtapes are the new outlet for rappers and Nelly dropped one in 2011 and 2012.
Now, Nelly is putting the final touches on his M.O. album. Obviously dedicated to his home state, Nelly put out his “Hey Porsche” single. The song has done very well and has returned Nelly to his chart-topping status from over a decade ago. In June, Nelly plans to release his seventh album.
The Hollywood Reporter talked to Nelly in Los Angeles at the Grammys and he opened up about the success of “Hey Porsche.” With so much changing since he last released an album, Nelly also admitted he is a big 2 Chainz fan. Revealing guests on his album, Nelly said Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Trey Songz, and Nelly Furtado are among the features.
