NBA Youngboy Reportedly Got Into Jail Fight, Which Prosecutors Are Using as Evidence, to Try to Deny Him Bond Again

NBA Youngboy has been incarcerated since late March, after being arrested in Los Angeles. At the time, this was due to gun charges, stemming from a September 2020 gun charge, in Youngboy’s hometown of Baton Rouge, LA. In LA, Youngboy had reportedly fled during a traffic stop, but was tracked down, by a K-9. 12 days before that incident, Youngboy was indicted on charges that he possessed a firearm as a felon and possessing a firearm not registered to him in a federal database.

Youngboy ended up being denied bond, and is close to being in the same situation now. According to The Advocate, he had a court hearing on Monday. Prosecutors had vouched for Youngboy to remain in prison, due to him supposedly recently getting into a fight. Youngboy’s team had proposed a bond amount beforehand, which had been getting denied. After Monday’s hearing, though, the judge still hasn’t made a decision, regarding this latest request.

Youngboy’s team also proposed to prosecutors, the idea of him being able to move to Utah, and stay there, to avoid more trouble. They also wanted to get an in-house recording studio there, so Youngboy could solely focus on creating music. He also recently purchased a home, in Northern Utah, to be near a childhood tutor, who had been mentoring him.

Last month, Youngboy also released his first album, since getting locked up. This was “Sincerely, Kentrell,” which debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. This is also his third number one album, since April 2020.
