Back in late March, NBA Youngboy was arrested in Los Angeles by LAPD and placed in federal custody. This is after he was stopped by police and attempted to flee the scene. Youngboy ended up being found by a K-9. This arrest stemmed from a weapons case back in September in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA.
Youngboy has since remained in prison and this will be the case until at least his trial date, which is expected to be in the middle of June. He is also becoming a father again as his eighth child is being carried by his girlfriend, Jazlyn Mychelle.
There’s also been recent rumors online that the Louisiana rapper was recently found dead in his jail cell. A report from USA Today revealed that someone posted a screenshot on Facebook which said “The worlds biggest artist NBA YOUNGBOY who’s real name is Kentrell DeSeaun Gaulden was found dead in his cell earlier today.” This is now said to be not true at all.
Greg Moroux, chief legal counsel at St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, confirmed to USA Today Youngboy is still alive. He is still being held at St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
