Four years ago, hip hop went through a transition period that saw new stars enter the game. Viral rappers began breaking through and it was both Kodak Black and NBA Youngboy taking over. By 2017, the two were basically household names.
By 2017, Kodak Black was getting regular radio play, and earlier this year, NBA Youngboy, took over radio. These rappers have been two of the most popular rising artists in the game. The two have also been frequent collaborators, as both are from the South.
It looks like the comparisons between Kodak Black and NBA Youngboy go much deeper than that. A year ago, Kodak Black was dating Dej Rosegold, as NBA Youngboy was rumored to have Yaya Mayweather pregnant, which obviously wasn’t true, but Jania was pregnant. Now, it looks as if NBA Youngboy and Dej are dating.
