Nas proved what he was made of, when he returned with his tenth studio album, Life is Good. The album came after a four year hiatus and during this time Nas suffered a number of losses. After promising to deliver his comeback album in 2011 and the album failing to be delivered, a lot of confidence in Nas was lost. Knowing all of this, Nas came back stronger than ever, proving he still had much more in the tank.

Life is Good has been viewed by many as one of the best albums in recent history. Several years ago, Nas’ album, Hip Hop is Dead led to many people agreeing with the statement and blaming certain artists for this decline. As Nas began his hiatus, those blamed artists continued to release new music. However, an audience for everything has emerged as hip hop has come to rely on the internet as a primary source of exposure.

On his latest album, Nas simply told his story and it was met with critical acclaim. Often, Nas boasts of his career spanning over two decades. With the release of his tenth album, Nas has reached a major milestone and many have spoken with him to offer both congratulations and to reminisce with him. Nas recently stopped by Power 106 in Los Angeles and spoke to “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” about his longevity and his first rap, which he put together at the age of eight, performing the rap.
