Every album released since then has been compared to his 1994 debut, which gained him comparisons to Rakim. Even during his feud with Jay-Z, Nas found himself criticized by his rival for his music quality sinking.

Recently, CNN decided to delve into hip hop. While there is no denying Nas’ status as a legend in the game, CNN went over and beyond with their rating. To start 2013 off, CNN named Nas as the ‘Greatest Lyricist.’ However, in many debates, Nas has come up in discussion.
