Over the summer, Nas proclaimed Life is Good, telling anyone who would listen about the great place he is currently in when it comes to life. Before Nas began pushing his tenth studio album, most of his headlines came from his woes with the IRS. Several rappers have found themselves behind bars when it comes to taxes, among them Ja Rule, Young Buck, and Beanie Sigel.

With Nas meeting critical-acclaim with his Life is Good album, he is now on the road performing the songs on the album. Now, Nas will find his wages garnished as he performs on his Live Nation tour. Early in his career, Nas scored his first hit, “If I Ruled the World,” with Lauryn Hill, and she is touring with him.

The state of Georgia is garnishing Nas’ revenue for unpaid taxes in 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010. It is currently a deficit of $1.8 million Nas has to work himself out of.
