The relationship between Nas and Carmen Bryan has been rocky, to say the least. Jay-Z publicized their relationship woes when he revealed he carried on an affair with Bryan. While the two rappers went on to engage in a bromance, there has not been much discussion about the relationship between Nas and Carmen Bryan, aside from their daughter, Destiny.

For nearly a week, there has been a lot of discussion about Nas’ new single, “Daughters,” which is produced by Da Internz. Nas spoke on the song with XXL, saying it was inspired by his daughter’s recent actions, which led him to question his own parenting. The song has been well-received by fans, but Destiny’s mother is not pleased.

Recently, Carmen Bryan took to her Twitter and spoke on “Daughters.”

Read Carmen Bryan’s tweet below:

“Just heard “Daughters” by Nas. What a disappointment! He had nothing positive to say about our daughter and his depiction of her is false! Perhaps her father should be talking to her and spending more time with her so he can really get to know her…Destiny will be 18 in 2 months. Over it!”

When asked about why she was upset:

“Ques? do u really think Destiny appreciated that song? Seriously…..Destiny is still a child-it was the wrong platform,” she said. “…he’s not speaking on it-he’s rapping about it. There’s a huge difference and I don’t respect it. Destiny is extremely talented, caring and has a huge heart, none of those things were mentioned. I’m proud of her.”
