Mystikal was released on $3 million bond in February after serving 18 months in prison on rape charges involving a woman in Louisiana in 2017. He was charged with first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. He was able get funding from family and money from a new record deal he supposedly signed.

Last night, Mystikal made his first performance in a while as he was introduced by Doug E. Fresh. It took place at Funk Fest Orlando. He performed his hit single “Shake Ya A**“” and his verse on Ludacris’ “Move B*tch.” It was a successful weekend in Orlando as T.I., Jeezy, Plies, and Erykah Badu also performed.
