Muni Long’s breakout “Hrs & Hrs” single goes platinum
In November, R&B star Muni Long released one of the biggest records of the year, which went on to heavily continue its momentum in 2022. This is “Hrs & Hrs,” as this was played all over social media, including various TikTok videos, and streaming platforms.
Now, Hrs & Hrs has just hit another impressive milestone. According to Chart Data, it is now platinum in the US. This comes after selling over 1 million units. Currently, Hrs & Hrs stands at number 24, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It peaked at number 16. Hrs & Hrs became Muni’s first song to debut in the Hot 100.
Hrs & Hrs originally appeared on Muni’s “Public Displays Of Affection” EP, which was also released in November. That project contained eight songs, which included an appearance from Ann Marie. “Time Machine” was another record on Public Displays Of Affection which went viral, as well.
Muni has been making more moves in 2022, as she recently went on to perform Hrs & Hrs on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” She will also be performing at festivals this summer such as Broccoli City in Washington D.C., and R&B Only Fest, in Atlanta. Both will be taking place in March. Muni’s “One Night Only Tour,” also kicks off on April 20, in Dallas.
