Jeezy and Shawty Redd have always been two of the best duos in hip-hop. Redd has provided some of the hardest beats to Jeezy and those translated into hits such as “Trap Or Die” feat. Bun B, “Thug Motivation 101 intro,” “Who Dat,” and “Get Ya Mind Right.” The two also got together for their seven-track “Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision” EP last spring.
Redd and Jeezy hadn’t been seeing eye to eye at the end of 2020 but now, it appears that the two are back to the music, as fans wanted. Redd just took to his Instagram feed to ask Jeezy if they should put out a new project titled “Back II The Basics.”
“IS THAT RIGHT, SNO? I SHOULD DROP THE PROJECT, SINCE WE BACK 2 THE BASICS‼️ REDD 💯 IF WANT ME TO DROP IT #SHAWTYREDD”
Redd went on to preview a song from this project and fans immediately asked for the whole thing to be released ASAP. Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision received positive reviews from fans last year and based on the demand for this project, it could meet those same expectations as well.
Check out Shawty Redd announcing this potential project with Jeezy along with a preview of one of the songs on it below.
