Mulatto’s Stage Name is Changed To “Latto,” on Streaming Platforms, as She Announces New Music Coming This Week

Mulatto has been one of the biggest stars in hip-hop over the last year and a half as her breakout recorded ended up being “B*tch From Da Souf” remix featuring Saweetie and Trina. She soon released her debut studio album, “Queen Of Da Souf,” in August 2020. That project saw solid success as it debuted at number 44 on the Billboard 200 chart. The deluxe edition was also released in December which included the hit single, “Sex Talk,” feat. Lil Baby.

For a while now, there has also been talk from Mulatto of changing her stage name, due to it being viewed as a racial slur against biracial people. Now, she is actually taking the initiaive and her stage name is officially being changed. On streaming outlets, her new name that is listed is simply “Latto.” Many believed that it would end up being “Big Latto.”

In addition to this new development, Latto also took to her Twitter feeds on Monday to reveal that new music is arriving on May 21. She didn’t clarify whether this is a single or album but the title is “The Biggest.” Many users on social media have since been debating if this stage name is good or not. Some feel that it’s not much of a change at all while others feel that it’s a slight improvement.

Latto hasn’t spoke on the sudden stage name as of now. Her handles on her social media feeds are also still @Mulatto.
