Watching the news, today, and all of it is about shooting. There were reports of shootings in Canada, Oklahoma City, and Indiana, just from the past 48 hours. Then, there are the shootings that don’t go reported, because it happens too often.
Often, a lot is said about Chicago and the truth is that the city is a lot of things, not just one. Overall, the city, like many other inner cities, is in need of help, and partisan politics isn’t the solution. There is no right wing or left wing way to stop violence.
MUBU Krump was a rising Chicago rapper that was hoping to make big things happen, this summer. This week, he began exposing people, on his social media. Last night, he was shot in a drive-by that took place in front of his home, and now he has died from the injuries sustained in the shooting.
