Morris Chestnut talks film, “Spell,” series “The Resident,” “Jesus vs. Big Joe” podcast, playing ‘Ricky’ in “Boyz N The Hood,” John Singleton, the cast, Lakers’ championship, and more with Shannon Sharpe [VIDEO]

Through his career, Morris Chestnut has had huge roles in both movies and television. Definitely, playing ‘Ricky,’ on Boyz N The Hood launched his career. The acclaimed actor was a part of FOX’s 2015 reboot, when he starred in “Rosewood,” which followed “Empire” for two seasons.

Morris Chestnut spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com, during that span of time, about the show, and his character. The show would conclude, a year later, with Chestnut doing When The Bough Breaks, during the same time period. Now, he is on FOX’s “The Resident.”

Recently, Morris Chestnut spoke with Shannon Sharpe, for his Club Shay Shay series. The two had a lengthy conversation, where he speaks on the new film, Spell, “The Resident,” his “Jesus vs. Big Joe” podcast, Boyz N The Hood, John Singleton, and more. The conversation also went into sports, with Chestnut speaking on the success of his hometown Lakers, who won the 2020 title.
