Moneybagg Yo Earns First No. 1 Album With “A Gangsta’s Pain”

Last week, Moneybagg Yo released his fourth studio album, “A Gangsta’s Pain.” This was the third project that the CMG artist has put out over the last year as January 2020 featured his “Tim Served” album in September, Moneybagg put out his “Code Red” album with CMG label mate, Blac Youngsta.

Shortly after A Gangsta’s Pain release, it was projected that Moneybagg would hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Now, that is about to be a reality for the Memphis native, according to Chart Data.

A Gangsta’s Pain will be No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 111,000 units sold in its first week. The No. 2 spot goes to Young Stoner Life, Young Thug, and Gunna’s “Slime Language 2” with 64,000 units. The third spot features Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” with 55,000 units.

A Gangsta’s Pain contained 22 tracks with appearances from Polo G, Lil Durk, Jhenè Aiko, and more. The lead singles ahead of the album’s release were “Hard For The Next” feat. Future, “GO!” feat. Big30, and “Time Today.” Moneybagg claimed ahead of A Gangsta’s Pain release would be a No. 1 album and he did in fact end up manifesting that.
